Registration Now Open for 2025/2026!

Registration for Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra's 2025/2026 season is now open! We are looking forward to a fantastic year, filled with music and fun- and would love for you to join us. 

For those who have not participated in our fall and spring programming, or for those who are curious what we have in store this year, here is a rundown of what you can expect this year: 

-Weekly rehearsals led by Music Director Mr. Brian Ostrega in which we will explore string orchestral repertoire, ensemble skills, and community building. 

-Three main concerts, including two full ensemble concerts and one chamber music concert. The chamber music concert is set to be coached by professional area musicians. 

-A performance at an Illinois Philharmonic pre-concert event. 

-Possible additional performance opportunities through our Plant the Seed library events and donor related activities. 

We will be holding ensemble placement auditions on August 24th, 2025. Auditions are tentatively set to take place at Immanuel Lutheran, 4800 Sauk Trail, Richton Park IL.
