Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra
2024-25 Audition Requirements

Students ages 8 to 17 who wish to participate in SYSO or SYSJO, have played their instrument for at least one year, and have a private instructor are welcome to audition.

Specfic audition requirements will be sent via email after registration.
​
Auditions are held in person on August 18, 2024. They are held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 4800 Sauk Trail, Richton Park, IL. Students who cannot make the in-person audition date are encouraged to send in a video audition tape.
Upon filling out the online application, students will be scheduled for a private audition. Students will be placed into SYSO or SYSJO at the discretion of the Music Director.
We are currently accepting Video submissions for the 2024-25 audition process. Please fill out the audition application. Videos may be submitted to thesyso@gmail.com.

The Incredible Opportunity Program (IOP) is our beginner ensemble, a group instruction class, for students ages 8-13 who do not already play a string instrument, but would like to learn to play the violin.
