Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra is a 501c(3) non-profit operated by a talented team of classically trained musicians and instructors who are dedicated to providing students across the south suburbs of Chicago with the opportunity to develop the necessary skills, music education, and inspiration to play and enjoy music, and to build a community of string players.

Our beginner ensemble, a group instruction class, for students ages 8-13 who do not already play a string instrument, but would like to learn to play the violin.

The top performing group and namesake of the organization, students ages 8-13 accepted into SYSO have successfully completed a comprehensive audition

Suburban Youth Symphony Junior Orchestra

Our intermediate ensemble, aims to prepare students, ages 8-13, for the Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra by focusing on technique and ensemble playing

Through the help of your donation, The Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra enriches the lives of young musicians as well as the families in our communities.  SYSO is also an affordable opportunity for students to develop their musical and cognitive skills that will provide benefits for a lifetime. Designated as a 501(c) (03) public charity, gifts to SYSO are tax deductible.
