Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra is a 501c(3) non-profit operated by a talented team of classically trained musicians and instructors who are dedicated to providing students across the south suburbs of Chicago with the opportunity to develop the necessary skills, music education, and inspiration to play and enjoy music, and to build a community of string players.
Your Generosity Makes Our Program Possible
Did you know that tuition only covers less than 50% of SYSO's operating costs?
Through the help of your donation, The Suburban Youth Symphony Orchestra enriches the lives of young musicians as well as the families in our communities. SYSO is also an affordable opportunity for students to develop their musical and cognitive skills that will provide benefits for a lifetime. Designated as a 501(c) (03) public charity, gifts to SYSO are tax deductible. Please consider donating at any amount toward student scholarships, financial aid, instrument repairs and purchases, and program outreach.
